Environmental, political and social problems are caused by the extraction of certain minerals needed in the manufacture of mobile phones. Individual elements can be identified by their spectral signature - the emission of specific light wavelengths in an otherwise uniform spectrum. In this work, five problem elements are represented by horizontal bands with vertical threads representing their signature wavelengths.
